Without help of Mars high school students, Cookies for a Cause would not be entering its 4th fundraising year. Prior to the fundraiser, we have always focused on independency, so learning to work in teams and depend on others took a bit to get used to. However, we have now achieved goals that would have been impossible with only the two of us. Mars student council has been excellent, baking and selling cookies weekly. Now, we have expanded to also include members from Mars Key Club, and are grateful for the number of students eager to give us a helping hand. All of our volunteers come with a positive attitude, and made us realize the importance of maintaining a positive environment and the success of the cookie stand. We thank you all for volunteering with us, and the veterans thank you too.
The teamwork and collaboration has allowed us to raise over $5,000 for our St. John veterans over the past few years. We cannot thank our volunteers enough, and we look forward to working with our volunteers in future weeks.
