Time for Some Volunteer Shoutouts!

Special thanks to Mia Shterengarts and Audrey Milk for their hard work this summer! Both volunteers have shown up for more than half of this summer's selling days and have always created a positive and friendly atmosphere.

Audrey (left), now a senior at Mars High School, has volunteered since she was a freshman, and volunteered on the very first day of Cookies for a Cause. She has always taken her volunteering seriously, making sure to engage with customers, explaining what Cookies for a Cause is, and always having a smile on her face. In addition, she is very thoughtful towards other volunteers at the stand, always bringing extra chairs if needed and explaining the stand's operations for first-time volunteers. She never hesitated to help, and is an excellent role model for what a good volunteer looks like. More information about

Audrey can be found in the "Featured

Volunteers" section on the Cookies for

a Cause website.

Mia (right), a junior at Mars High School, is an excellent baker and a great addition to any mix of volunteers. She is friendly and sociable, creating a fun and chatty environment amongst her peer volunteers and customers. I have grown to be good friends with Mia, and look forward to seeing her most weeks! Some cookies that she bakes are peanut butter, chocolate, and chocolate chip. Fun fact about Mia, she likes to bake unique cakes such as berry tiramisus and chocolate lava cakes. She is also fluent in Russian.
